The King's Awards

One of The King's many roles is to reward excellence and outstanding achievement.

In addition to decorations awarded through the honours system, The King presents a number of prizes and medals. These special honours reflect outstanding achievement either by individuals or by groups.

The Lord-Lieutenant often represents The King in presenting Awards in the County. These include the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service and the Elizabeth Cross. From time to time the Lord-Lieutenant will present other awards and honours on behalf of the monarch.

The Lieutenancy is also heavily involved in promoting and organising The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in Berkshire.

Find out more about these Awards on the other pages of this section.
